Message from the Executive Director

If you were not present at the last Symposium, I am announcing that the
6th Symposium will be held at the Hilton-Bonaventure, in Montréal on
May 13, 14 & 15, 2009.

You also most probably noted on the welcome page of the Web site that the
Symposium as changed its name in French, becoming: Symposium international
du Québec sur la prévention / réadaptation cardiorespiratoire.

From an event attached exclusively to La Capitale Nationale (Québec City), it
became a national event for the whole province of Québec. Thus, the Events will
now alternate between Montréal and Québec City, the 2 major poles of the Province.
The 7th Symposium will then come back to Québec City around the middle of
June 2011. However the title has not changed in the English language.

I invite you to come back often to the Web site to follow the evolution of the
organization of the 6th Symposium under the leadership of the Co Presidents,
Drs Jean Bourbeau et Martin Juneau, respectively form the Montréal Chest Institute
and the Montréal Heart Institute.

The preliminary program will become available in spring 2008.

CALL FOR COMMUNICATIONS - Abstracts

The deadline for the call for communications is December 12, 2008. Again in 2009,
a number of abstracts will be selected to be presented orally, the other abstracts selected by the Scientific Committee being presented as posters. Abstracts could
be submitted for evaluation directly through our Web site. This operation has been improved for the 6th Symposium. The site will be accessible for submission of
abstracts as soon as May 2008. Results of the selection by the Scientific Committee will become available in February 2009.
